For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Luke 12:34

The key reason behind doing something over and over again is simple: desire. For the proof of desire is pursuit. Furthermore, what you treasure, what you love, what you desire with all your heart to see again and again, you will pursue it against all odds. What you treasure most becomes your focus, it envelopes your emotions, it dictates your actions and you protect it at all cost.

When we make the Lord our God, our only treasure, we will be rich towards him, we will not worry about anything because we know we are more precious than the lilies of the field, and we will seek first His kingdom, His righteousness, His peace, His love and everything about Him. His Word becomes our only Guide, His Presence becomes our only dwelling a sanctuary, His thoughts becomes our thoughts and His ways we tenaciously seek. Our hearts become one with Him and seek nothing but Him everyday.

The key to a fulfilled life is when we make JESUS our treasure, our pursuits and our desires aligns to His Word. His priority becomes our priority, His plans His purpose, His Peace, His Lordship and Kinship becomes our daily pursuit for our lives and for all around us. We make no room for hate, malice, gossip, lust, and everything that breaks His heart. We become beacons of light, salt and hope to everyone around us.

What a beautiful life and a fulfilling life we will have when we make God our only treasure, desire and pursuit.

The extent of your pursuit shows the depth of your desire to know God all the days of your life. For the constant, daily, consistent, relentless pursuit of God is the proof of a heart that treasures God and God alone.
