“I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Matthew 16:18

This is not just a promise—it is a spiritual reality. The church is not a building; it is the people of God. We are the Church, and our lives must be built by our Lord. If we try to build ourselves on human wisdom, wealth, or fleeting desires, we create weak foundations that the enemy can easily attack.

However, when God is our builder, we become unshakable. Psalm 127:1 says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” This means that our success, protection, and victory depend on God being at the center of our lives building and shaping us to become like Christ.

A life built on Christ, the solid Rock, a life built to be like Christ our Example and Pattern, will withstand every storm from the enemy.

The gates of hell, the plans, schemes, and attacks of the enemy will not prevail against a church built on Christ and built to be like Christ.

Our response then is to surrender every area of our lives to God—our faith, relationships, work, and purpose. When we allow Him to build us, we walk in divine authority, and no force of darkness can destroy what God has established.

Let us choose to be built by God, rooted in His word, and strengthened by His Spirit.
Let us choose to be built to look in every possible way like Christ- in speech, in conduct, in mindset and in attitude. Only then will we stand victorious, knowing that nothing—no trial, no attack, no weapon—can prevail against us. Amen.
