Today we pray that our leaders will love God with all their heart, mind, strength and soul.

We need good leaders who will lead by example, men and women whose love for God is evident in their actions. May God purge our leaders who say they are Christians but live contrary lives. We need true leaders who will show kindness to downtrodden, compassion for the weak and defenceless, humanity for their fellow humans, speak the truth in love.

There are but few examples of true leaders in our world today. May God raise up true leaders in our countries, congress and parliaments, local councils, in our churches, our work places and our homes; men and women who aspire to be like Jesus, our great example in leadership, love, humility, compassion and strength. Amen.
