Worship

With my heart laid bare and my hands held high
I whisper a note of worship to God
Though the rhythms of each line
I find my strength through worship songs

From the chorus chirping birds to the swerving dancing trees
All testify that God is good
From dawn’s glowing light to twilight’s dimming gleam
My spirit seeks to dine on this heavenly soulful food

In my heart, this fire burns bright
Each heartbeat echoes pure delight
Born to worship God whether day or night
For in His presence, I find my true Light
