Who do you want to be?
What do you hold most dear?
“Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid” – Roman 6:1
If you know you are doing something wrong and you continue to do so, you are attracting the anger of God upon your life.
Achan sinned and his sin cost him his life. It also robbed the community of the lives of his family and young ones. One man’s sin ended the potential and destinies of his entire family.
Judas sinned but didn’t confess nor forsake his wrongdoings. He ruined his life and did not connect with the Man of Grace he walked with for 3.5 years.
However, Rahab sinned but repented and followed God and His people. God honoured her. She married Salmon and gave birth to Boaz the husband of Ruth and became the great-grandmother of David. Through genuine repentance, she became part of the genealogy of our Lord Jesus!
Also, Peter sinned, but truly confessed and changed. He became one of the leaders and pioneers of the early Christian Church of God.
When you hide and cover up your sin, you will not prosper. But you will receive mercy, honour and forgiveness when you confess and forsake it.
So who do you want to be?
Rahab or Achan?
Peter or Judas?
What do you hold most dear?
Honour and forgiveness or sin and destruction?
The choice is yours
Shalom 🌺🌺
